1978 volkswagen bus battery?

I need to get a battery fo this car but I do not know what size battery it takes help. it is a 1978 campmobile

    Measure it. It works by physical size. Also note which side the positive is on. That makes a difference because the cables are not long enough if you have the opposite battery. Measure it in somebody else van of roughly the same year. Don’t buy it from VW. There is an extra $100. thrown in the cost for the heck of it. So you are looking at a $200 official VW battery because it has a VW stamp. 750 cranking amps (InMyExperience)
    I got mine out of Costco (more cranking amps is better than less) and I snagged 1000 amp for $40.
    I had a measuring tape and the numbers and knew where the post was suppose to be. Never a complaint from any part of the car. And I had a diesel.

    go to autozone or pepboys, wal-mart or wherever, and go the automobile battery section. there will be a book hanging on the shelf (well a book or nowadays some places have computers) and just look up a 1978 vw bus. trust me it will be there. its how i buy batteries and i have bought many, many batteries for a bunch of different cars, including for my 1970 and 1975 vw bugs
