How far up north have you driven (from Singapore)? And if you know, what brand of car pleas! And when? Thanks!?

My story. AND NO, I AM NOT EXAGERATING.

I have driven from here to Malaysia many times, mainly to Penang, where I come from. I drove in a Volkswagen Golf from 1990. I started as soon as I got my license in 1995 and still do it once a month.In 1998 I drove up to Hat Yai and Bangkok at the end of the year and the following year Chiang Mai. I changed to a Saab 9-3 in 2000. Then, I went up to Laos in 2001 (visited my friends). In 2003 I drove up to China, Kunming. In 2006 I drove up to Fujian to visit my great grandfather and great great grandfather’s graves. In 2008, I drove all the way to Sichuan (and before you ask, it was 2 months before the earthquake. I was on my way back home, just past the m’sia/thai border when I heard it. Umm.. now for the end of this year I’m planning to drive to Russia. Share yours thanks.
