Replacing Glove Box in a 1999 Volkswagen Passat…?
So I just got a new lid for my 1999 Volkswagen passat to the Glove box and have no idea how to take off the old one. It has 4-6 bolts, that are like slip on metal parts, that can’t be unscrewed, and I’ve tried prying them apart, but no go. If their is a special tool or something, to get it off please let me know.

your question is sensitive do to your car is newer and probably has rivets holding the part on , i would get a chilton manual and review that first before taking on that project to be safe ! newer cars are built quick and not strong unfortunately, i have found it’s easyer and time saving to just read about it and find a plan to remove that part without destroying the rest of the dash!you also might have to take the dash apart to remove the whole glove box ! email me and i will help you further Chevmal80@yahoo.com
